TNS India Foundation was founded under the aegis of TechnoServe Inc. as a not for profit organization in 2012. We collaborate with private corporations and institutions to design and implement large-scale, multi-year poverty-alleviation programs in India. With over a decade of experience in  social welfare programs working towards national economic reconstruction, with a special focus on women. Our Programs connected enterprising individuals to transformative opportunities, we have been able to create an enduring impact for them, their families and communities.

Charulata Sippy

Financial Services

Charulata Sippy is an Independent Director on the BofA Securities India Ltd board. As an independent director, she is also a member of the company’s Audit Committee, Nomination and Remuneration Committee (NRC) and the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee (CSR).

Before her role as an Independent Director, Charulata spent 21 years in the BFSI sector. She was also appointed the India Representative for the Diversity and Inclusion initiatives in 2007 and was on the Regional Diversity and Inclusion Council in Bank of America Group companies.

Geetanjali Jha Chakraborty

President, Apnalaya

Geetanjali comes with extensive experience in the development sector. She has spent nearly 15 years in the development sector and has held leadership and CEO-level roles in Concern India Foundation, CHILDLINE India Foundation, and ARMMAN.

She is on the board of the Foundation for Mother and Child Health and Vihaan. She is also the President of Apnalaya and is on the Global Advisory Board of Tech Care for All. She is passionate about child protection, urban equality, and mental health. Geetanjali has a Master’s in Social Work and a Master’s in Human Rights and Criminal Law.

Hitungshu Debnath

Hitungshu is a professional in the BFSI sector with over 2.5 decades of experience. He is a Chevening Scholar from the London School of Economics and a CFP from the Financial Planning Board of India. He also holds a Masters’ degree in Marketing Management and CSR and Sustainability. He has been associated with reputed brands such as HDFC AMC, TATA MF, Motilal Oswal, Angel Broking, and Arthayantra.

He is part of a new management team in Karvy Group which has taken over post the debacle, and is the Director & COO for Karvy Capital—an alternate asset manager.

Kartik Kini

Chief Operating Officer, Waterfield Advisory

Kartik Kini is a Certified Chartered Accountant and a Chief Operating Officer with Waterfield Advisors. In his current role, he has been instrumental in driving business strategy and organisational growth. He has played a vital role in setting up all the core functions – H.R., Brand Management & Marketing and has driven digital transformation for the firm. In a career spanning 25 years, Kartik has worked in leadership roles in organisations like- Avendus Capital, Deutsche Bank and DSP Merrill Lynch.

Padma Parthasarathy

Senior Vice President,
Tech Mahindra

Padma Parthasarathy is a Senior Vice President at Tech Mahindra, where she has led digital business growth. She is currently engaged in Sustainability and Social Change initiatives, assisting Mahindra University in setting up centres of excellence in these areas.

She has also led the global consulting team at Tech Mahindra, which is engaged in business consulting, and digital transformation services. She’s been featured on Forbes India’s W-Power 2020 list of self-made women leaders and in the Top 75 Women in STEAM list by the Government of India in 2022.

Pramod Singh

Head-Legal and Compliance, DSP Investment

Pramod Singh is a legal and compliance professional with four decades of experience. A qualified lawyer who worked at SEBI as Deputy General Counsel, he was instrumental in framing regulations for various intermediaries.

He has spent a considerable amount of time at large MNCs such as Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch and Credit Suisse, and has handled compliance for not just India but also South Asia. Currently, he works with DSP Investments and oversees the legal and compliance matters for the Family Office of Mr Hemendra Kothari.

Vijayalakshmi Srinivasan

Founder and CEO, Peoplescape

Vijayalakshmi Srinivasan is the CEO and Founder of Peoplscape, an Executive Coaching and H.R. Consulting company. She is an alumnus of The School of Coaching, London, where she was trained by Myles Downey, one of the world’s leading practitioners and thinkers in business coaching.

She authorised the international bestselling Modern Effective Coaching and founded the School of Coaching as well. Human resources strategy, change management and leadership training are some of her areas of expertise.

She has 11 years of leadership experience at Merrill Lynch as Director and Head of Human Resources. With years of expertise also comes a sheer passion for empowering growth by moulding the leadership curves of senior executives from across industries.

Rupa Bohra

Managing Director


Rupa currently serves as the Managing Director at TNS India Foundation.

Through her role, Rupa provides strategic guidance, design and implementation leadership to unlock the economic potential of India’s most vulnerable.

Under her diligence, the team has grown to 200+ individuals across more than 18 locations in the country. She has built and developed partnerships with corporates such as Accenture, Capgemini, HDFC Bank, HDB Financial, Moody’s, IDFC Asset Management Company, Lenovo, Motorola, and foundations such as the BlackRock Foundation, Lenovo Foundation, Reliance Foundation and Pernod Ricard India Foundation.

As a well-connected member of the development community, Rupa represents TNS India Foundation’s interest in economic transformation. She has over 21 years of experience across the financial services, technology, banking and development sectors and has managed multi-locations across India and the Asia-Pacific region.

Before TNSIF, Rupa headed corporate partnerships at Magic Bus India Foundation. She has also held leadership positions at organisations such as JP Morgan and Bank of America-Merrill Lynch.

 

Subhro Chakraborty

Director – Programs

Subhro B. Chakraborty, Director – Programs at TNS India Foundation, has over 20 years of experience in engineering, project implementation and development in both, the corporate and development sectors.

At TNSIF, he leads program implementation in Skill Development, Employability, and Entrepreneurship. His current work includes upskilling college youth from underprivileged and low-income backgrounds – to enter the technology and I.T. industry.

Subhro has a deep interest in the overlap between education, technology, and entrepreneurship – and the use of these to create impact. He holds an MBA from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, an M.S. degree in Manufacturing Systems jointly from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and MIT, Cambridge, USA, and a B.E. from Jadavpur University, Kolkata.

Before TNSIF, Subhro was part of the founding teams of a few early-stage ventures – the most recent being the launch and early growth of a now popular ride-sharing platform. Subhro spent a decade before that working at Singapore-based MNCs in the consumer appliances, electronics and utility industries.

 

Reshma Bhatkar

Director - Finance, Legal & Compliances

Reshma is responsible for TNS India Foundation’s financial and grants management portfolios. She also looks after secretarial and audit matters. She has over 22 years of experience in NGO sectors, with nine years of senior management experience in development organisations.

Before TNSIF, Reshma headed Finance and Operations at Educo, a Spanish Donor Agency and has worked with organisations like Catholic Relief Services, a U.S. based Donor Agency and the ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth as Grants Manager.

She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from Wellingkar’s Institute of Management Studies and an MBA-Finance from Pondicherry University.

 

Tanvi Sahni

Associate Director - Monitoring and Evaluation

Tanvi leads the Monitoring and Evaluation function focused on developing MEL strategy and delivering MEL outcomes for TNS India Foundation’s programs. She guides the programs on database management and impact measurement and assessments.

She has over 11 years of experience in diverse developmental themes, including- agricultural livelihoods promotion through farmer institutions, digital financial services, WASH (particularly, faecal sludge management, wastewater treatment and agricultural reuse), women’s financial and digital inclusion and youth employability.

Tanvi holds a dual Master’s degree in Development Studies from the London School of Economics, University of London and in Social Work from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. She is an Economics (Honours) graduate from the University of Delhi.

 

Shaminder Kour

Associate Director - Curriculum

Shaminder leads the Curriculum and Quality practice at TNS India Foundation as part of which she spearheads the e-Learning component of the Future Skills Program, which is aimed at empowering underprivileged youth towards gainful employment.

Shaminder has over 18 years of experience in training, learning and development, and eLearning. She is an ex-Byjus and an ex-IBMer.

 

Kirti Chaturvedi

Associate Director - Programs

Kirti Chaturvedi oversees the soft skills programs at TNS India Foundation and has extensive experience across Corporate Social Responsibility, Business Excellence, Vendor Management, Project Management and Research Education.

She has worked with stellar organisations such as Nike, Microsoft, and Goldman Sachs. She has worked with international teams in multiple geographies and has travelled extensively throughout Southeast Asia, the United States, and Europe to fulfil work commitments.

Kirti is an MBA (Gold Medalist) from IIM Lucknow, has held merit positions in her undergraduate and postgraduate courses, and is currently in the final stages of her PhD in Strategic Management from IIM, Lucknow. She has also authored a published collection of English poems (A Journey of Words) in 2023.

Kirti focuses on problem-solving and team building through shared energy and effective communication.

Aditi Elhence

Associate Director - Program Strategy & Design

Aditi joined TNS India Foundation in 2020 and has been managing the Campus to Corporate Careers (C2C) youth employability program, providing training and placements to more than 15,000 youth in Mumbai, Delhi (NCR) and Puducherry since then. As a Program Manager, she bore primary responsibility for all project deliverables, donor relationships and team management, managing a team of over 30 professionals. She now supervises the Business Development & Communications Team, ensuring all proposals and communications are aligned with the overall goal of the organisation.

She has over 10 years of experience in the development sector, specialising in project management, operational planning and business development. Previously, she worked with ACCESS Development Services, a livelihood promotion non-profit, where she managed a refugee livelihood project for 10,000 refugees living in New Delhi in partnership with UNHCR. She has done business development for Dasra, a strategic philanthropy foundation and has created and edited content at IL&FS Education, an ed-tech social enterprise.

Aditi is a graduate of Columbia University (M.S. Non-profit Management 2019) and the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai (M.A. Social Entrepreneurship 2010). She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Delhi University (2008).

Frida Dias

Associate Director of Human Resources & Administration
Frida Dias, Associate Director of Human Resources & Administration at TNS India Foundation, has had a rich professional journey of over 22 years. Her expertise lies in leading HR processes and driving strategic people management initiatives. She is a proponent of fostering an inclusive culture of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion within the organization. In her leadership role, Frida is committed to continuous improvement, focusing on engagement, welfare activities, and devolving HR responsibilities to line managers. Her strategic approach aims at maximizing productivity and building leadership capabilities. Frida’s leadership is marked by her excellent analytical skills, team building skills, and interpersonal abilities, which inspire trust and cohesion across all stakeholders. With a professional background that includes roles at MPS Ltd, Tata Interactive Systems, and Pride India, Frida now heads the HR and Administration department at TNS India Foundation. In this capacity, she oversees overall HR operations, employee life cycle management, and HR strategy. Frida holds a post-graduate degree in Extension Education from SNDT University, Mumbai.

Deepak Kamble

Associate Director – Programs

Deepak Kamble serves as the Associate Director – Programs at TNS India Foundation. With over 18 years of experience spanning both corporate and development sectors, Deepak brings a wealth of expertise in Corporate Social Responsibility, NGO Management, Program Management, Operations, Business Development, and Strategy.

In his role, Deepak oversees the Financial Careers programs, demonstrating his commitment to empowering youth and children to reach their full potential. He has led programs across multiple states of India in leadership roles and has collaborated extensively with international teams in the development sector. Furthermore, his background includes valuable experience in education and ed-tech organizations, where he contributed significantly to business development initiatives.

Deepak holds an M.Sc. from the National University of Singapore (NUS), with his thesis work conducted at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Germany. Additionally, he is a graduate of Pune University, having earned an MBA degree.

Driven by a passion for people and team development, Deepak focuses on designing and implementing processes to effectively execute projects, thereby ensuring the delivery of impactful outcomes.

Roshan Shetye

Lead - Human Resource

Roshan comes with 15+ years of experience in Human Resources, primarily in social sector in different thematic areas like education, woman empowerment, anti-human trafficking. Roshan holds a postgraduate degree from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management studies and is a trained personal counselor. Roshan is also trained in human behavior analysis through ISABS and various other workshops. She is a certified member for POSH law and has been on the panel of various organizations. She hailed from corporate, heading the HR Banca channel with Aviva Life Insurance and eventually entered the social sector and has worked with organizations such as Dasra, Educate Girls, Justice and Care, Samhita, Sol’s ARC and Consulted with Piramal Foundation, Masoom, Antarang Foundation to name a few.
